Due to the high volume of vehicles for export and limited availability of containers, US ports are experiencing high levels of congestion. As a result, most loading facilitates are only accepting a set number of vehicles per day and have limited storage space. This is causing delays in the pickup and transport of units throughout the US. According to current estimates, the situation will likely continue into the month of March.

Our team is working to minimize the effects of this congestion on our customers as much as possible, however, many of these factors are outside of our control. If you are planning to purchase a vehicle for export, please take the congestion into consideration as well as the possible storage charges that you may incur. Learn more >

Ground Transport Delays

Covid-19 is disrupting most industries domestic and international: US-based transporters are not an exception. As a result, fewer drivers are available and the rates for those that remain have gone up. However, we have not increased our rates in anticipation of market demand stabilizing.
With most routes experiencing delays, we advise that you contact one of our dedicated account managers to discuss your particular route so they can offer all available options to move your vehicle as quickly as possible.

Temporary Storage Fee Reimbursement Policy Change

Starting August 14th, 2020 our storage reimbursement policy has been temporarily revised. We will reimburse auction storage charges (up to $20/day) after the 14th business day. Please see our Storage Reimbursement Policy for reimbursement submission details.

On June 2, 2020 the government of Ghana passed “ACT 1014” which bans the import of vehicles 10 years and older and vehicles with salvage titles regardless of age.
The law is expected to go into effect in October 2020. As a result, any vehicles now banned under ACT 1014 will be seized at the port in Tema, Ghana if they arrive on or after October, 2020.
We ask that customers keep in mind the transit times of vehicle shipment from the US to Ghana when purchasing auction vehicles which are intended for export to Ghana. Transit times are 50 days on the water from California, and 40 days from New York/New Jersey.
